Takosushi comes on strong with inventive but down-to-earth flavors that consistently wow locals and visitors alike. Rouse your senses with the eclectic vibe and ingredient-driven cuisine rooted in southwestern and Asian traditions. The beauty of this food is in its utter simplicity, yet it seductively teases the tongue and leaves you wanting to try so much more.
Food People Restaurant Group was founded in 1994 by Chris “Sully” Sullivan. What started as one Alpine Bagel in Knoxville, TN has grown to a diverse portfolio of quick service, fast-casual, and casual dining restaurants.
Originally focusing on non-traditional locations, the company grew to operate many brands including Freshens, Dunkin Donuts, and Villa Pizza across the country.
In 2004, Carolina Ale House was added to the family and the focus turned towards developing traditional locations. Crave and TakoSushi were added to the portfolio in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Today we are based out of Columbia, SC, with a geographic footprint that spans South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. We continue to add brands and locations to our family and are committed to operating with the highest standards and to creating incredible opportunities for our people.
